He looked like some sort of musician to me
I painted him on a Saturday at Quack’s. He popped in and sat down two tables away from me, providing the perfect distance and profile pose to paint him. It was a very quick oil sketch, but I think that I captured him and his impish personality. He came over to see what I was up to, and talked to me briefly. It was very loud in the bakery at that moment, and I didn’t understand him. Could this possibly be the same person that commented on my blog a few days ago, awaiting a portrait of himself? Yes, my Persian friend should be working on his thesis to complete his studio art degree instead of sending me these beautiful font glyphs. If he were here in Austin, we would be painting at coffee houses together, I am sure of it.
