I Painted Sherry at the Spider House

I painted Sherry as she was getting her cards read at the Spider House

I was painting at the Spider House as dusk was slipping out in under the threshold.  My first painting of her was so awful.  I made her move over to the table opposite of me and have her cards read by “Julian”.  His game might have been a  bit off, because I rattled him by telling him that Aleister Crowley had a death-bed conversion.

In this painting, Sherry is really scrutinizing Julian as he reads the cards.  Sherry is quite the chef, and just sparkles.  I hope that you can tell that.

Lavanna, thanks for finding me on Twitter. I’ve been enjoying your paintings this morning as you’ve put them here on the site. And yes, in this one she does sparkle, like quiet beaming light.

Hey Lavanna! I’m working on a list of “famous” people for you to paint. And the bunch at the Austin Wine Merchant!
I’m headed to Twitter. Will try and sign up? Anyway, I love my rendering, I feel special.
