I’m not even going to pretend to know what was going through his mind. If he were native born, I could probably conjure up some explanations such as: poor screwed up SOB, had a fight with his wife on a beautiful afternoon, and had no where to go so he ended up here. Who knows what this man has been through? I can’t pretend to know…

    Hi Lavanna,

    LOVE THIS PIECE! I showed my husband too and he said the word “coffee” painted in the background looks kinda creepy!! You captured the light really well on the left side.. looks like early morning light. Love the colors.

      Yeah, it is kind of a creepy piece. Sometimes, I just can’t help myself – I want to reveal what I’m seeing/feeling when I paint – try to be honest.
